Astro Sacco Society Limited is a member-owned financial cooperative founded in June 2016, built on the vision of empowering individuals and communities through inclusive, reliable, and accessible financial services.

Astro Sacco Society Limited is  dedicated to promoting financial inclusion, economic empowerment, and long-term financial well-being for individuals, businesses, and institutions across Kenya.

Background

Our story began with two visionary founders:

• The Late Rev. Harrison Anangwe Wakhungu, a seasoned accountant with over 40 years of experience and a deep commitment to financial discipline and community stewardship.

   

• Mr. Bernard Irungu Ouma, a dynamic marketer with 25 years of experience and a passion for socio-economic empowerment and grassroots transformation.

   

Together, they laid the foundation for a Sacco that would not only offer savings and credit but would also serve as a vehicle for long-term prosperity for its members.

What started as a modest initiative has grown steadily into a trusted financial partner, proudly serving a diverse and expanding membership across sectors, counties, diaspora  and economic backgrounds. Our nine-year journey has been marked by consistent growth, resilience, and a relentless focus on member needs.
